20 days...

since my last post, I am really getting better, aren't I? (grins) I have been so busy doing pages there is hardly any time left for anything else.
We are done with all the birthdays for the year, we just had the last party on Sunday! Yeah! All our kids have birthdays within the span of a month. It's a little easier now that the girls are older and they help out a lot. Michael still likes his wild boy party, so that is always a little more challenging, but it's over now and they had a good time. All they want to do is go outside and play anyway :)
Sunday was also our anniversary, 24 years! I can't believe we have been married that long! Well, as a gift I received a new kitten! Now we have 3 (well, one is more an outside cat) I fell in love with this little one when we went to the store to buy birdfood, she is a little cutiepie! At first Sweetie was having a fit but then I found them in her little house together and she was licking TG all over, so I figure they will be okay. What a Zoo!
I am still scrapping all the time, I just love my job :) I really have trouble doing anything else, all I want to do is sit and scrap all day long. Of course there is so much other stuff involved, like the forums and the gallery and the computer stuff that seems to pop up all the time (if it's not backing up, it's a problem or something else) I haven't even gone to any of my favorite blogs in weeks, neglecting all my friends. Sorry girls!!!

Okay, I have to hurry and make dinner, we have Karate tonight and we seem to always get there at the last minute. this was way too much work, getting all these pictures on here. I really must try to do this more often...

I can't even believe it...

...weeks have passed and I haven't done a single post. That much for getting on the ball! I even missed Rachel's birthday! At least I did the pages about it:

Phil is doing much better, he is allowed to drive again and things are going back to quasi normal. My back seems better, I am doing my 50 squats every day to strengthen that bursa area. I went through a couple of weeks where I couldn't get a deep breath in, today is the first day that I feel normal, it feels sooo good to breathe again! It must have been the stress of the last few months catching up with me. Phil was concerned because I have a protein C deficiency which facilitates clotting problems. We had a few scans done and everything checked out okay. I figured if I didn't fall over during karate it couldn't be anything serious and I didn't.

The other day I got a PM from Scrapstreet magazine.com. They want to do a Discovery spot on me, so I have to submit 3 pages and a bio for the december issue (probably) I am so excited about that, I felt so happy about it. I am still having so much fun being a CT for DD. I love using all the new product during the week with the "coming soon" :)

I am still trying to keep up with the 365 pages too, just a couple of weeks behind. I actually enjoy doing them.

Oh yeah, I got myself a nice little MacBook Pro. It was a little hard to get used to at first and I really truly miss my Windows Life Writer, posting directly to the blog is a real pain anymore. It's a great computer though, I love it. Mozy is working like a charm now, since I don't have to use Norton anymore. I also got a new zoom lens a few days ago, the new Tamron 18-270. That is really a nice lens, I got some great zoom shots and with the stabilizer I could blow them up and they were still crisp. The moon page and the deer are two I did with it.

School is back in session and nobody here was looking forward to it, neither I nor the kids, but hey, what can you do. I will have to get on my google reader and look at all the blogs I neglected in the last few weeks, I feel so guilty not signing in anywhere. It just seems like there was never enough time to do it all. I really should do a blogpost every day, it would be so much easier to keep up with it then.

Okay, if I forgot something, I might post it tomorrow. Here is a page I did for PixelCanvas, I almost forgot. I have to get more active there too.

Unfaithful Me...

so sorry, I know it's been ages sinces I last updated. I have been so busy though, plus I am still floating...:)

Hey I got a new baby, no, not the breathing kind, I got myself a Mac 17" Macbook Pro. I am so happy, hubby told me to get it, since I spend soooo much time on the computer, isn't he nice? Now it's beautiful and all but definitely takes some getting used to. Right now I am typing on my HP :) Pathetic huh? The thing is I have to transfer all my stuff over yet and at first I had no Internet. I kept getting thrown out every two minute. You try and leave comments in the gallery that way ;) My HP wasn't quite that bad, but we thrown out occasionally also. Turns out that when my desk on the third floor collapsed a couple of weeks ago, the router must have hit something and went wonky. I had my computer guru here and he put in a new one for me, plus he put in wireless access to my printer upstairs, which I have wanted for a long time. Anyway, everything is finally working, now I just have to get Adobe to answer the darn phone. I need to switch my license for CS4 over to the Mac platform. Last week I was on hold for literally 3 hours!!! then I decided to call the sales department and they answered on the first ring, figure that! their service absolutely stinks!!!! I downloaded the trial version for now, but I have to try again. The sales guy opened a case for me and told me they would call back within 24 hours, which of course didn't happen. I hope you never have to deal with them, they are awful! But now my Mozy backup works, I could never get it to work on my HP because of Norton, now it already backed up everything I have on the Mac, which granted isn't much, but it works, I could do the happy dance because of that. Now I won't have to fret about double backing up anymore!

And of course I have been busy scrapping. The designers come out with so much new stuff all the time, there is no way I can use it all before it hits the store (but I sure try ;)). Here are some pages

I need to get busy with my 365 pages, I have a couple of pages to catch up with... I also have an AAM page I did for Katie, but she didn't post it yet, so I am going to wait before showing it to everybody.

Phil is getting better all the time, he is still tired and has pain, but less and less (or so he says). He started working in the office again, hospital will start next Monday. I think it's better that he eases his way back into it. Next Monday he has his appointment with the Cardiologist around here and then Thursday we'll have to go to Pittsburgh again for a follow-up with the surgeon.  He is looking forward to that one, he liked him. In the meantime he still isn't allowed to drive, so I have to drive him everywhere, take him to the office, pick him up and so on....it's getting old really fast :)

My dishwasher has been broken for over 2 weeks now and I made the mistake of asking my neighbor if he could fix it. He was finally here and did it today. Had he not started on it already I would have called Sears to do it. I will never ask him to do anything for me again. He started sanding my Sunroom floor one week before we left for Pittsburgh and it's not even finished. it's ridiculous!!! Oh well, that's how we learn, right?

My Big announcement!

I can finally announce it publicly! I am a CT member at DD now! I am so on cloud nine, I can't even stand it. My family gets it to a point and it's so frustrating. I feel like I just got this great job with great pay and nobody really gets it. They try, but I think they find it a little weird :) Oh well, I am so happy though. People have been very gracious, congratulating me and the CT is just wonderful, they are all fun and kind! What  I don't like is people saying they can't wait to see what I'll come up with now, the pressure, the pressure :) I am not miraculously become a genius scrapper LOL. Anyway, that is my big news and I haven't been able to contain myself since yesterday. I only got one page done since Saturday with all the forums to look through and comments to leave etc etc.

I did this one last night. Gabi used to have a poster with that theme and I always loved it. Plus Sweetie is just so pretty (no bias here)

Okay, gotta run and pick up hubby, this chauffeuring is a major pain in the rump :)

Life can be stressful

now hubby isn't allowed to drive and he just started making nursing home visits again, so guess who is taking him everywhere. Yeah, it's me! Not only am I chauffeuring the kids and myself around to seemingly endless appointments and classes, now I have to take him where he has to go and wait, and wait some more. I can't wait til he can drive again. His follo-up appointment isn't until the 27th, I don't think he will get permission before then, so I have to bite the bullet and just be patient! It will be nice when he can go back to work and the kids will be back in school, so I can have some me time! Listen to me, there I was afraid to lose him and now I can't wait for him to go back to work LOL. It's not really that bad.

Yesterday I had an appointment with a Physical Therapist MD about my back. I told him about the spot that seemed to cause all the trouble and he proceeded to poke on the side of my legs below the hip and telling me that the pain in all likelihood is caused by bursitis in that particular area. Boy that hurt when he pushed there. He then gave me an injection, oh no, more like two, one was a local and the second was a steroid. My pain was gone shortly after!!!!! Now he cautioned me that this was not a cure and not to help forever. He also told me to do 30-50 squats a day to strengthen that area. All the time I went for PT treatments they could never figure this out? It took him 30 seconds to diagnose me for crying out loud. It's like the difference between a physician and a Physical Therapist I guess. anyway, I am feeling much better and doing my squats every day.

DD is having their crops this weekend, one in San Antonio and the other in Salt Lake city. I am so jealous, wish I could have been in Texas, it sounds like they had a great time! I am scrapping away by my little self here, but today was great, I got a few pages done!
