It's finished....

my website that is! That is part of the reason why I have been so absent around here. It took forever, but it's finally done. If you have a chance go check it out and tell me what you think

Barb, are you happy now? :) :)

Well, that is my big news of the day. I just created a page on Facebook, so if you should be on there, would you mind liking it? Wow, all this sounds so serious LOL.

Let's see, what else is new? I think I already told you that the bathroom is finally done, so that is checked off. Next is the kitchen, I started selecting door styles and probably will use cherry with a dark stain. That will be a big change, as my kitchen is now white. But we are knocking down a wall separating the kitchen from the breakfast room, so I think we will get a lot of light. I am dreading the whole process already, but I am ashamed to have anybody look at this place as it is. Oh well, this too shall pass.

I have been busy creating pages too

and some 365 pages

I am still one week behind. Can you see that large photo in the center on this last one? That was a photo I took of the whole High School on St.Patrick's Day. There were about 400 kids and I was standing on a 10 foot ladder. I have never taken a photo of that many kids before LOL. Somebody actually took a photo of me standing on the ladder and put it on their website :) That was quite the experience!

Rachel had this great idea of giving a little piano concert in a Nursing Home, so that's what they did this past Saturday. It was really cute and she announced all the players. I think the residents were very happy and appreciative of a little entertainment. She can be quite considerate at times! I took a photo of all the players and hopefully will be able to get it in the local paper with all the names.

Okay, this was just a short update. Let me know what you think about the site!
Ciao!

I heart Faces

I belong to this online group called I heart Faces. That is to say, I read their articles and learn lots of interesting and pertinent stuff! This week I am entering one of their contests, it's all about sun flares and I love that subject. As soon as I saw their example I was thinking about Gabrielle's shot in the tree and that is the one I will enter. How fun!

Featured

I just got an email that one of my pages was featured on the ClubCK blog. Scroll down to the bottom to see the page. I already have a blinkie on my blog from the last time, but it's still fun. Actually it was all Katie's doing, because it was her template. I loved it anyway!

The bathroom is painted and even though it's not dark (Joanne!) I love it. The color is warm and soothing and for now I am happy with it. My painter was here for 2 days now, he did the staircase risers, the wall, the hall ceiling, the front door, the bathroom, including the inside of the door, which needed it badly. What a transformation. My house actually looks cleaner now, I love it! I think I might just keep him longer and have him paint the whole upstairs. He is pretty quick.
Tonight the kids had Mardi Gras at school, Gabrielle had more fun than Rachel who was actually running a booth with her friend. Boy was it crowded.
Here is Gabby stuffing her face with an oreo. That was the game Rachel was running, too funny

and here is Rachel swinging a broom, what a sight!!!

I only got one page done since yesterday. I just had to use all those snow pictures I had to take the other day.

That is it for today, time for bed

First coat of paint

The painter was here today and started in the hall, the ceiling, the wall going up the steps. The bathroom got it's first coat and the ceiling and trim and door were painted. Wow!!! I love these little things ,they make such a difference. I can't even believe how nice the door looks now! No more banged up and scraped areas, it's nice and clean! I might just have this guy do everything, it's so worth it to look at clean, neat things for a change. Everything around here had gotten so old and banged up. That's what happens when you have kids around I guess (but they are worth it too)
Yesterday we had quite the snowstorm again, I think we got a couple of inches in the afternoon. We were thinking about going to the movies, but we scratched that idea. Going tonight instead (and skipping Karate again :(  ) I really want to see Unknown, it looks great. I love that kind of mystery movie!

A senior from a local High School was killed in a car accident this past Friday. From what I hear she was racing with another car and lost control and collided with another family's car (they had a 2-year-old in the back seat) What a shame, what a waste, what stupidity! Kids think they are immortal.... I always try to make these things into teaching moments with the kids. I hope some of it will stick!

See me in the mirror? :)

Here are the pages I did, first the 365 pages for the week before last...

and the rest..
having some fun with fruit roll-ups

Katie came out with this cute princess kit, so I had to go digging for some pictures of the kids at Disney. I can't believe how little they were, and so cute...

Gabby is still in love with stuffed animals :)

TG is always a star

and this one is for the heritage challenge. Yikes, I am heritage....

We just got back from watching "Unknown" Great movie, lots of twists and action, I really enjoyed it! Okay, off to watch a movie with hubby and then beddy buy time. Tomorrow will be here soon enough! Thanks for stopping by!

Never say Never!

Well, here I am creating my very own blog! I was always very sure I would never get into this blogging "thing", but here I am. I hope you will enjoy finding out a little about my not so interesting life!
