Then and Now

Here is another technique we learned. It involved the gradient tool and it was amazing. With this tool you are able to blend two photos together seamlessly. I always wanted to do these two pictures of Michael. He used to always fall asleep in the shopping cart when he was about 2. I learned to put my purse in there, so his head wouldn't hit the metal. Everybody would get a kick out of him. Last year we sat him in the cart again to see how much bigger he was and this is how the LO came to be.

Loving Sammy

I absolutely adored this page! I have to go back and read the instructions again, I can't quite remember how to get to the circle shape with the cutouts, boy that was so cool! Jessica has all these little tricks and shortcuts! Great fun

Bloom where you are planted

I made this LO from a template I created. This was another assignment during class. I never created anything like this before and it was very surprising how easy it really was. The hardest part was to decide what shape to use, the creation itself was a snap. I felt almost like a designer, LOL, little me!

This is me

This was such a cool assignment. It is one of the lessons from Jessica Sprague's Digi in Deep class we just completed. We had to take a picture of ourselves looking in the mirror and pointing with a finger. Boy that was hard. It took me forever to get a halfway decent photo. It was really funny too, though. Then the technique with the frames, it was something else!

Jessica Sprague's class

This is the same page turned into a double page spread. I really had a tough time trying to figure out how to change the right side from the end of the LO into a continuation, so I picked the circle with the arrow pointing back at the pic. I was rather happy with the way it came out. I really loved all the techniques we used in this page!

My very first blog!

How exciting! Like I said, never say never, I am living proof that women are allowed to change their minds!
It is Monday and I am missing Jessica's class so much. It was so exciting to get the video link activated and watch her creation and just be in awe at what she was able to create! How awesome. I have learned so much, not that I remember everything, but I have all the instructions to recreate it all! Thanks to permanent videos and Liv's wonderful companion notes! I think that's what I will be doing with my free time now, I want to go back and reread everything and see if I can remember the different steps. Plus we will have the weekly challenges at the Spraground, they are always a lot of fun and involve learning new techniques too.
I am supposed to post pictures for the photography class we are taking at the Spraground, I am a week behind already! Of course it has to be raining today, so ISO adjustments are going to be a little more difficult. We'll see what I can do today.

Never say Never!

Well, here I am creating my very own blog! I was always very sure I would never get into this blogging "thing", but here I am. I hope you will enjoy finding out a little about my not so interesting life!
