We're baaaack

well we have been back for a couple of weeks LOL. I must have been on lazy street since I haven't posted anything in such a long time. I have been trying to get a lot of pages done, scrapping like a maniac.

We had a great time in Vegas, it was hot with a capital H!!! We went on a tour to Red Rock Canyon and when we got out of the van it was 108 out there. It was dry though, so it was actually bearable. The Bellagio is a gorgeous place, our room was wonderful. Too much gambling for my taste, but hey, that's what people go there for right? Here are some random photos, just a few for today :)

This first one is the Bellagio where we stayed, really nice. We went for a walk that first evening and this is right along the lake, pond, whatever you want to call it :)

We walked through Ceasar's Palace, I couldn't believe what the inside of the Casinos looked like. Permanent European small town, gorgeous to stroll through. Another thing I noticed is that there were no clocks in the casinos, hmmm, I wonder why :)

This is inside the Conservatory/Botanical Garden inside the Bellagio, it is really pretty, tons of flowers and really cool displays which change with every season

Here we are on our trip to Red Rock Canyon, the countryside is just amazing, reminds me of the old cowboy movies. I sure wouldn't want to get lost there without water....

And then of course you have the nut jobs walking the streets in the evening. He was kind enough to let me take his picture, too funny!

The view from our room in the evening, it really looked like that

I will have some page to share in a little bit, there might be some more photos on there that I didn't show here.

Going home we got stuck in the airport in Charlotte. Severe thunderstorms and we sat in that plane for two hours. It was quite late by the time we made it home...

We picked the kids up Friday morning, I was a little nervous but it turns out they had a great time. We joined them for Mass that morning and I could see how engaged the kids were with everything. I wish it could be like that all the time, what a great experience Church could be... Well, they all want to go back next year and Gabby wants to become Counselor in training, since this was her last time. See, mother always knows best :)

The following two weeks were uneventful really. Just Karate, appointments and regular life. The kids are complaining that there is nothing to do and that they are bored. They really like the structured life more, too much free time on their hands. It's going to be work for Gabby next year, that's for sure. I should get them into something to keep them busy.
Well, I don't want to get this post to be endless, just a few pages...

I won't even explain, just look at them if you like, hopefully they enlarge so you can read the journaling if you so desire.
Well, I have to run and get ready for church... have a wonderful rest of your weekend and I will try to not be a stranger this coming week :)

It's so good to see you back and to hear you had such a fabulous time in Vegas. Also that your kids enjoyed camp (you are one smart mama)! Your photos are gorgeous, as are your layouts! Oh my! I can't imagine how much time it took to create them! They are all beautiful and unique.

You know I gotta do it to show I really look at your layouts...the one with the lighthouse on the page...European is missing one little letter. I couldn't read the journaling on some of the others though. Sorry!

Glad you all have been having such a great summer!

Anke - I just discovered your work, and let me tell you, I am completely taken by it! In particular, I LOVE the layout you submitted for the Kodak baby scrapbook layout contest ("Sunshiny day"). I was wondering if you would mind if I scraplifted that layout and taught it in traditional format at the LSS where I teach. I think that would make a fantastic Christmas page! I would, of course, give you full credit if you would be so kind to allow me to scraplift it. Please let me know. Again, great work and thanks for the inspiration!

Never say Never!

Well, here I am creating my very own blog! I was always very sure I would never get into this blogging "thing", but here I am. I hope you will enjoy finding out a little about my not so interesting life!
